We encourage you to wax or oil your wooden furniture every couple of months during the first year after purchase, then every six months thereafter. Your unique piece of handmade reproduction furniture has travelled from tropical humid conditions to more temperate drier surroundings. As a result you may find that there is minor movement within the grain and joins of the furniture over time.
We see these small imperfections as an exclusive trait to your furniture. If your furniture is subject to central heating or air conditioning please put a glass of water inside your piece or nearby to prevent excessive drying out.
